Cooperation with the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS)

Since 2009, the efms is cooperation partner of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) Germany. The interdisciplinary consortium of research institutes, research groups, and leading researchers form a cluster of excellence under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Blossfeld, University of Bamberg. NEPS is a longitudinal survey collecting data on the development of competences, the educational processes, educational decisions and returns to education in formal and informal contexts over the life course. The data will be made available to the scientific community as Scientific Use Files. The efms supports the work of Pillar 4 "Education Acquisition with Migration Background in the Life Course" which focuses on assessing migration-specific characteristics that are relevant to education.
